Description
If you’re looking for quality hardwood and serious bass, you’ve just found it.
This stunning Djalla wood djembe is beautifully symmetrical with impeccable carving throughout. The oversized bowl produces a huge bass response, while the classic Beledugu style trumpet foot and intricate chip carving showcase the skill of the Malian carver.
The rich reddish-brown hardwood features subtle purple hues that are perfectly complemented by the vibrant red Dyneema rope, making this a real head turner.
The skin is a lovely medium thick goat skin, giving the drum bright, zingy slaps while retaining rich, warm tones. Despite being a hardwood shell, it’s surprisingly lightweight and has a wonderfully elegant stance that reminds me of a finely carved chess piece.
A drum with looks, power and plenty of room to develop your playing.
Selected by Wooden Roots for its natural beauty and quality, this drum was 100% handcrafted in Mali, West Africa.
