Description
This drum is an absolute beauty.
A big bowl, curvy leg and iconic Mali silhouette combine to create a djembe that looks every bit as good as it sounds.
Carved from deep red heartwood Djalla, the shell is beautifully balanced, highly symmetrical and packed with intricate carving. Despite being hardwood, it’s impressively lightweight and feels solid throughout.
The thick goat skin helps produce a huge bass response while maintaining rich, full-bodied tones. The understated steel grey Dyneema rope perfectly complements the deep red wood, creating a classy, sophisticated look.
This is the sort of drum that could easily be personalised further with custom tack work or a rubber base, but honestly, it’s stunning exactly as it is.
Selected by Wooden Roots for its natural beauty and quality, this drum was 100% handcrafted in Mali, West Africa.
