XL Djembe: WR 1111

You will never see a drum like this again.  It’s so unique and with true authenticity in the carving, it’s Malian carving at its best.  Carved from Ackajou/Djalla pure heart wood making it oh so easy to play.  It’s beautiful and truly a “functional art piece” and conversation starter.   Featuring our brand new Dyneema rope, showcased in vibrant solid rust verticals with orange and olive cradles. The sound is vibrant, easy to play and drums like this come around once in a blue moon – we don’t have anything else like it in the shop so don’t miss out on this one.  Look at the excitement in Bouba’s face as he plays this drum for the sound check (below). The djembe is thoughtfully customized with a high-quality spotted goat skin head, the highly desirable Wooden Roots comfort bearing edge, polished stainless steel rings, and a seamless rubber foot for added stability. Built in the UK by Marcus Brown, this djembe promises an exhilarating sound experience, delivering distinct tones, crisp slaps, and deep, resonant bass.
