This drum is EXQUISITE! Iconic, old Malian style djembe. Â Nice rounded bowl with unique leg carving with “humps” which is very tricky to carve. Â We call this Beledugu carving style and we love it! The wood has been gently polished to a satin finish and the rubber base has been fabricated to match the carving.
This djembe sings! Nice balanced sound with plenty of head room to be tuned to a higher pitch. Â This is a good bench mark base for a nice general sound and accompaniment playing. Â It’s full and it’s rich – simply magnificent and may I add that the very first Wooden Roots custom djembe was built to these same specs.
This striking instrument features our brand new Dyneema rope, showcased in pink and olive green which  blends well with the Lenke wood.
The djembe is thoughtfully customized with a high-quality spotted goat skin head, the highly desirable Wooden Roots comfort bearing edge, polished stainless steel rings, and a seamless rubber foot for added stability.
Built in the UK by Marcus Brown, this djembe promises an exhilarating sound experience, delivering distinct tones, crisp slaps, and deep, resonant bass.
