This is a small size handmade djembe that is very lightweight, great for transport & easy handling. An ideal drum for use in schools, clubs and other community drumming. Alternatively great for campers, travellers and people that like to play with the drum on their lap. A traditional Mali style carving on the stem makes for a solid and no frills djembe. The skin is cut and the drum is tuned for regular playing which has similar sounds to the bigger drums giving a very decent bass, tone and slap! All materials used to build this drum are from Mali, West Africa.
