This one of a kind Djembe was imported from Mali, West Africa. It was traditionally hand carved and headed with a premium selected goat skin.
It has been crafted to produce the traditional Mali djembe sound with deep bass, rich tones and bright slaps. Hand carved with a traditional Malian style shape and a classic style foot carving.
This djembe was hand picked by Wooden Roots for its authentic quality and sound. We believe it all starts with the wood and this is the same wood quality that we would use to build our custom drums with. In buying a djembe drum like this it gives you the ability to grow and transform it into a full Wooden Roots drum down the road should you wish.
