Djembe Case: ULTRA DELUXE

This is our Wooden Roots classic ULTRA Deluxe Djembe case which is available in THREE SIZES & 3 colours.

SIZING: Please measure your djembe prior to ordering a case. The following are all INSIDE MEASUREMENTS OF THE CASES;

The XL is for a djembe with a max head size (inc rope and rings) of 13″ (33cms), this is a snug fit for most 12″ djembes.  The base size can be upto 11” (28cms) and the height your drum can be is 24” (61cms)

The XXL is our most popular sized case and is for a djembe with a head size of between 13″-16″ (40.5cms max) and with a base size of 13” (33cms). The maximum height is 26 1/4” (66.5cms)

The XXXL fits a djembe with a head size between 15″-17″ (43cms max including rope and rings), the base of the XXXL supports upto to 13 1/4” (34.3cms). The maximum height your drum can be for a XXXL case is 27.5” (70cms)

The bag is made with waterproof* heavy duty Cordura fabric.  It has been strengthened at all major points and has been designed with extra padding in all the places you need it when carrying your drum across fields/beaches and through airports etc.

Inside the bag, nestled behind the velvet lining are separate zipper pockets housing 25mm thick & full length hard foam which can be taken out so that the bag can be flat packed.  The foam, however is what gives the case a very rigid look and feel and also makes it free standing for ease of getting your drum in and out of it.

There is a synthetic leather rim that pulls down and around the lid to provide added protection and which also covers an industrial zipper helping to protect the bag contents from the rain.  The leather rim also gives a very sleek finished look to the case when it’s fastened up.

There are two large pockets on either side of the case which can be used for Ksink-ksinks / drum straps / towel, water etc.  The size of the pockets are an ample 40cm x 20cm.

The back-pack straps & lumber area have had extra padding added for super comfort and there is extra protection in the top lid where a 6mm ply wood and hard foam are used in combination to ensure that nothing penetrates through to your drum head.  There is also a side handle which is padded for extra comfort when you are not carrying the bag on your back. The bottom of the case has a rubber base for added protection and total peace of mind.

*We consider this case to be showerproof and close to waterproof but we do not guarantee that your drum will remain dry if you are caught in a heavy and constant downpour alternatively if the case is left out in the rain.
