XL Djembe

Exquisite djembe! The outer carvings are masterfully done.  The shape is true to form.  This drum is also beautifully carved on the inside and its thick and dense Balafon wood.  We selected to head this drum with a thick black and white spotty skin and using our BRAND NEW DYNEEMA ROPE as an experiment.  You can see that the bottom cradles are two tone with two strands of different coloured rope in yellow and green that compliments the vertical purple rope in a unique way – very eye catching indeed.  As for the sound, the bass is booming and the tones are very rich and the slaps are melodic and bright. A typical sound from Mali ANNNNNND its a beautiful functional piece of artwork to own and have in your home.
