Getting Arts Council Funding is a BIG DEAL. It takes a lot of hard work, devotion & commitment to write an application which we do in partnership with Saskia Coburn of SASOLO Arts Development.

We have so far received THREE grants from Arts Council England, our first was in 2021 to run drumming events in the community connected with the Power of Stories in Ipswich and curated by Ipswich Museum and Aspire Black Suffolk.

The second grant built on the first grant and enabled us to expand on what we do and offer a little more sustainability in the community.

Primarily working with Springfield Junior School, Eyke Primary School, Ipswich Central Library, Ipswich Museum, Rendlesham Community Centre, DanceEAST, Aspire Black Suffolk & Britten Pears Arts we delivered extensive & various programmes and pilots in Ipswich town centre and rural parts of East Suffolk.

Our third grant helped us to put on The Wooden Roots Experience at Snape Maltings in August 2023. Snape Maltings is a world class music venue in our own backyard, just 10 minutes away. Having the grant allowed us to rent this fabulous space and ensure that our artists were paid correctly and stay in beautiful on-site accommodation. These events are often 12 months in the making so a lot of admin hours and no-one wants to work for free, so a little help goes a long way.

We are currently working on our fourth grant…more to come! Follow us on our socials to learn more about upcoming events.
